Domain-Driven Design: Tackling Complexity in the Heart of Software by Eric Evans; Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture by Martin Fowler; Applying Domain-Driven Design and Patterns: With Examples in C# and . The book I have recommended a few times, Applying UML and Patterns 3rd Edition by Craig Larman, is an excellent book to learning GRASP and fundamental OOP, which is a good prerequisite to Domain-Driven Design. I've finished reading Jimmy Nilsson's recent book Applying Domain-Driven Design and Patterns: With Examples in C# and .NET. And running with CQRS on .NET has been developed, not as a framework, but as a tutorial for developers interested in learning about CQRS, and as a possible starting ground for a CQRS based system. Books on design patterns catalog a vast array of patterns, many focused around interfaces, but often seem overwhelming to those developers who are making their first foray into software design. I have read the book Evans (Domain-Driven Design: Tackling complexity of the Heart of Software), Nillson book (Applying Domain-Driven Design and Patterns: Examples in C # and. I agree with Jeffrey that I haven't been able to find many open source, well architected, layered application from which to learn from, and the developer community could really benefit from such examples. As the first technical book of its kind, this unique resource walks you through the process of building a real-world application using Domain-Driven Design implemented in C#. While Eric's book is the definitive treatment of DDD, this book by Jimmy Nilsson takes a fresh approach to this difficult topic. The DDD community CQRS & Event Sourcing are two closely related architectural approaches to DDD and they are the hottest topics in DDD of the last couple of years. I regard myself as being very pragmatic, and I have a lot of experience with ALM, TDD, BDD, DDD,design patterns, architecture, Agile practices, TFS and Silverlight. Applying DDD and Patterns My first impression is that the book lacks focus. Pragmatic and full of examples, this book digs into the nitty-gritty of applying DDD. Applying Domain-Driven Design and Patterns: With Examples in C# and .NET Applying Domain-Driven Design and Patterns is the first complete, practical guide. NET Book Reviews, GRASP Patterns. CQRS is an architectural pattern receiving an increasing interest. Introductory texts on C# provide the basic syntax and a few simple examples, but do not have enough detail and depth to help the reader understand how powerful interfaces are, and where they should best be used.
